Once your baby is old enough to sit safely unaided, they’re at a great age to capture their beaming happy smiles and growing personality with a sitter photoshoot!
Ideally done before they can crawl (although this is not essential!) these baby photo sessions are fun and relaxed, and although never rushed, don’t last too long for your baby.
You can choose from a variety of backdrops and setups, and bring along a selection of outfits for your baby to wear.
Of course, siblings are very welcome and you can join your children in the images too if you like.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When is the best time for a sitter baby photoshoot?
As the name suggests, the best time for a sitter shoot is when your baby can sit up confidently and unaided.
For many babies this is around 6-7 months old, and there is an ideal window when they can sit up well, but can’t yet crawl.
Don’t worry if your baby has started crawling though – we can still do a shoot, it just means I have to be quick photographing them before they crawl off the backdrop!
When should I book my sitter shoot?
Ideally as soon as your baby is sitting confidently without toppling over – as mentioned above the best time is when they are comfortable and happy sitting up, but not yet able to move!
Do you provide outfits for baby photoshoots?
At the moment I don’t provide outfits for sitting babies. You are welcome to bring along up to three of your favourite outfits for your baby to wear during their shoot – any more changes than this and I tend to find they get quite grumpy about being changed!
Can we have family, sibling or parent shots during our sitter shoot?
Of course! My sitter shoots can include sibling, parent and family shots if you would like to join in! Due to the size of my studio though it may be tricky for larger family groups – simply get in touch and we can chat through the options.
What about pets? Can they be included?
I’m afraid I don’t allow pets in the studio – it’s exclusively for babies and their families. As a pet owner though I do understand what important family members they are, so if you’d like a shoot to include your pet we can go on location or to your home.
Where is your studio?
The studio is located at Southowram, which is conveniently located a short drive from both Halifax and Brighouse town centres, and easily accessed from Junctions 24, 25 or 26 of the M62. Full directions will be provided upon booking.
Do sitter photoshoots have to be in the studio or can we have it at home or on location?
You can choose to have your shoot wherever you like! My sitter packages are put together based on a studio shoot, but my family or home baby packages would also suit a baby of sitting age and their family. Simply click the links for more details.
What does baby photography cost?
My sitter photography packages range from £195 to £565. I offer a selection of print-only packages, digital-only packages, and some popular Collections. The Collections consist of digital images alongside beautiful wall art and printed products and represent a fantastic saving on list price. You can also choose to purchase individual products a la carte, for example a large piece of wall art, instead of a package if you wish. Simply contact me for more details.
